Referral Bible - A Testimony from a long-time participant.

The Heart Group, a 5-physician Cardiology practice, has maintained a sizable presence in the “Health Care Referral Book” since its inception in 1995. Why? Because it greatly simplifies healthcare office life, and provides a concise, cost-effective way for communicating who we are to the regions’ health care community.
For our office staff, and others in the area, it is known as our “Health Care Bible” AKA our “Referral Bible." It is used daily for referrals to and from other offices, and contacting other members of the healthcare field. The healthcare referral book has obsoleted other cumbersome “yellow page” telephone books for inter-communication between healthcare offices--anymore, we simply do not pick up the phone book to call another provider, instead, we exclusively pick up the healthcare referral book. You’ll see why I say this as you

thumb through your Referral Book. It’s handy and concise, but comprehensive. It puts all the information we need at our fingertips without having to dodge all the other types of advertising found in other publications.
Since a large part of our business is generated through the referrals of other offices, the healthcare Referral Book has allowed us to “downsize” our spending in other media which is not nearly as targeted nor comes anywhere close to the shelf-life, retention, and daily usage the healthcare Referral Book delivers--we feel the money we save in the yellow pages, magazines, and television exceeds by far our modest investment in the healthcare referral book (actually generating a cost-savings for us).
The healthcare referral book is a useful tool and prudent investment for us at the Heart Group. When our marketing efforts are evaluated each year -- the Health Care Referral Book is the one publication that NEVER is questioned as to whether to continue to participate or not! Our modest investment lasts for an entire year in a publication that is used by providers and staff members throughout the healthcare community over-and-over on a daily basis -- thus, the name “Health Care Bible."
You will soon experience what we have
experienced…this little book is beloved and
guarded--in our office and other offices I pass through I see a book on nearly every desk--frequently I see these “Bibles” with “DO NOT TOUCH” or “DO NOT REMOVE” inscribed upon them--I see books tattered and torn from daily usage. My recommendation…when you receive your copies, once you have provided them to your staff, be stingy with your spare copies--set them aside because these books have a "mysterious" way of walking out of your office plus you’ll want to have “back-ups” to replace books worn out from the daily wear & tear.
At the Heart Group, it simply makes good common business sense to maintain a solid presence in the publication that displays every aspect of healthcare for the area. We believe that we as providers have an obligation to our colleagues to be easily “accessible” by being present in the publication designed specifically for us…the Health Care Referral Book.

If you have any concerns…I would be happy to speak with you regarding the Health Care Referral
Book and the company/individuals who produce it. I can be reached at 270-575-3113.
Sincerely, Edith Whitledge, Administrator, The Heart Group

1st-Time Participant gives Referral Book Rave Reviews!!

Within the first week of the Healthcare Referral Book being delivered, I received calls setting up appointments for fittings from staff in medical offices and from patients who had visited medical offices and saw the Referral Book there. Interestingly, I hadn’t even received my copies yet, and these calls alerted me that the book had started being delivered. Being the first issue for the Lexington area, I was surprised that the Healthcare Referral Book has generated the fastest advertising response I have experienced for my business, and I have used many forms of advertising and media in the past – this ad definitely paid for itself the first month!
Donnie, I want to thank you for the opportunity of being in the initial issue of the
Healthcare Referral Book and for your persistence in continuing to contact me when I said I was too busy to consider one more thing to do. I also want to mention that the Healthcare Referral Book staff was wonderful to work with and was very helpful in getting my ad copy prepared around my over-committed schedule – an amazingly patient group.
I am available to speak to prospective advertisers about this positive advertising experience for my business, The Undie Box, in Lexington, Kentucky.  I can be reached at 859-268-1267.
Kindest regards, Linda Cook, Owner, The Undie Box
